How to setup and login Netgear WN2500RP – Universal Dual Band Wi-Fi Range Extender?

The Netgear Wi-Fi Range Extender extends your wireless network to the areas experiencing network issues and to include such areas outside the range of your existing Wi-Fi network.

Netgear WN2500RP setup steps:

Follow these steps to set up your Netgear WN2500RP Extender:

1. Place the Netgear WN2500RP Extender at an equal distance between your home router and the wireless device that is located outside the range of your router.
2. Apply power to your extender by plugging the Extender into an electrical outlet, and powering it on.
3. Wait for about 1 minute until the Negear Extender starts, you will see that the Power LED on your extender turns green.
4. Next, you need to connect your Netgear WN2500RP Extender to an Existing Wi-Fi Network to extend the range of your Wi-Fi network. You can follow the below mentioned two options to connect your Netgear WN2500RP Extender to your network.

• Connecting the Netgear WN2500RP with WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)
• Connecting the Netgear WN2500RP without WPS and using the web browser setup guide through connecting to SSID.

Netgear WN2500RP login steps:

• Visit mywifiext.net, the web address for the Netgear extender, from a web browser on your computer or mobile device that is already connected to the same network of your Netgear WN2500RP extender.

 Note: Your router and extender might have different WiFi network names (SSIDs). Verify that you are connected to your extender’s network.

• A netgear login page displays where you must enter the admin user name and password to log into your Netgear extender.
• In case you have forgotten your user name and password for Netgear WN2500RP login, click on the Username &Password Help link.
• Click on LOG IN to enter the admin panel of Netgear extender.
• The Status page gets displayed.
• Click on the menu icon which will display the extender menu.
• Select the Settings to view and configure your Netgear WN2500RP extender’s settings.
