While using Netgear, if you forget Netgear router username and password and you want to recover it, the Netgear password recovery feature enabled on your Netgear router allows you to recover your admin password. It is recommended by Netgear to enable router password recovery option while configuring your Netgear router for the very first time. You will need the serial number of your router and you will have to answer previously set questions to retrieve the forgotten password.

  • Connect your computer to the Network of your Netgear router.
  • Visit www.routerlogin.net from the web browser on your computer, or you can visit routerlogin.com alternatively.
  • You can also type Netgear router default IP address 192.168.1.1 in the web browser to access the Netgear admin page or Netgear router login.
  • A Netgear router login window will display. Click on Cancel.
  • The Router Password Recovery window gets opened and you can retrieve the forgotten password by enter your Netgear router’s serial number.
  • You are thereafter prompted to answer the previously set security questions.
  • Click on continue and your Netgear admin password shows up.
