How to reset NETGEAR admin username and password?

For secure connectivity to your Netgear router and to prevent any unwanted access to your router network, it is recommended to change or reset the Netgear admin username and password following these steps:

  • Access the Netgear router login page from the web browser on your computer by typing www.routerlogin.net web address in the address bar.
  • You can also try to access the Netgear router by visiting www.routerlogin.com, but if you are unable to gain access with both the web addresses routerlogin.net or routerlogin.com, try to access the Netgear router login page through the Netgear default IP 192.168.1.1 netgear
  • A Netgear router login window will appear prompting you to enter Netgear router login credentials as Netgear router login username and password. Routerlogin.net
  • Enter the Netgear default username- admin and Netgear default password- password for routerlogin.net admin and password.
  • The Netgear router Basic home screen will appear after successful Netgear router login using routerlogin.net.
  • On the Basic home screen, go and select the Advanced from menu.
  • Select Administration option by clicking on it.
  • Look for the Set Password as an option to reset the Netgear admin username and password.
  • Change the password as desired and set a new password and save the changes made to the settings.
